I could give you no advice but this:
to go into yourself and explore the depths where your life wells forth.

Meet Trudy McKnight, Professional Certified Coach

All through my life, I have loved sharing my new learnings with others who are hungry for growth in that particular area. I am a mid-life woman myself who has made many recent changes in both my personal and professional life that have resulted in much meaning and fulfillment for me. I am eager to assist other mid-life women create and move forward on their chosen paths. Our coaching partnership can produce the meaning and satisfaction that you, as a mid-life woman, are craving at this time in your life.

Here's a little about my recent path. I moved from the Deep South to the Pacific Northwest at mid-life. The excitement, challenge and stimulation of my physical move has at least been equaled by the exciting transformations taking place in my spirit and psyche. I divorced and remarried in my fifties, and my husband and I are sharing the rewards and blessings of our individual and shared journeys of personal and spiritual growth.

I received my Ed.S. and M.Ed. degrees in Counselor Education in the mid-70s. In 1999, I was curious and then excited to learn about the new field of professional coaching because it offered a novel way of facilitating a person's growth. In spite of some initial apprehension about embarking on a new path at age 50, I enrolled in an accredited coach training program. I completed the program the next year, and have had my Life and Career Coaching business since 2001.

My professional background includes more than 35 years experience as a group facilitator, corporate trainer, instructor, counselor, workshop leader, and life coach in the area of personal and professional growth. My deep commitment over the years has been to help individuals increase their capacity for self-expression. This has included a focus on assertive communication and behavior, understanding and growing beyond codependency, setting boundaries, finding your passion, and bringing your vision out into the world, among other things.

In addition to my training and my professional experience, I bring over 23 years committed recovery to my coaching relationships. I am a PCC level coach through the International Coaching Federation, and have M.Ed. and Ed.S degrees in Counselor Education. As well as having my own coaching practice, I currently counsel and facilitate workshops for Seattle's Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal.

My husband, Jack, and I live in the Seattle area with our two huge, handsome male cats, Jesse and Napoleon.
